Another Dual Screen Wallpaper

Mountains, mountains, mountains... Sheldon Cooper presents "Fun with Flags" and Tobias Roetsch presents "Fun with Mountains". Because this years winter hasn't been very snowy so far I had to satisfy my desire for it with the help of an image. It wasn't easy to come up with enough time and motivation for something new in between commissions: but it was due.

I hope you like it. Little Before-After GIF can be seen: here!

I honestly don't know where to begin. The textures from the rocks, foliage and snow are pretty spot on. I don't know what programs you use to create art, but they must be good, seeing how the trees and rocks look so real, you can almost extend your hand and touch them.

I'm also fond of the light effects. Seems to me that the hiker is exploring this area at the hour of twilight, when the sun begins to move to the other side of the world and night starts to creep in st a time when daylight is not fully extinguished, and nighttime has a long way to go before it completely takes over for the next twelve hours. An aurora borealis wouldn't be out of place here.

I'm definitely interested in the tower/spire that stands to the left: what is its purpose, why is it there? There's also the way the explorer is standing, as if he's facing the structure from a centrifugal position: his center decentralizes itself in the eyes of the beholder of the work, so to speak. Great job, as always.
